The IEEE Day Celebration 2025 at MJCET, Hyderabad, was successfully hosted and organised
by the IEEE MJCET Student Branch Chapter (SBC) at MJCET. The event was graced by Chief
Guest Dr Nilang Trivedi, Vice Chair of IEEE MTT-S/AP-S/EMC-S JOINT HYDERABAD
SECTION, along with dignitaries, including Dr Mahipal Singh Rawat, Principal of MJCET,
Ms Samar Fatima, Principal of SUPS, Dr Ayesha Naaz, branch counsellor of IEEE MJCET SB,
Dr Uma Dulhare, Chair of IEEE SIGHT and Dr Nazeerunnisa Qureshey, Faculty Advisor of
MTT-S MJCET SBC, who offered their guidance and support throughout the celebration.


The celebration aimed to promote STEM education, innovation, and the values of IEEE among
students. The event brought together school students and undergraduate students for interactive
sessions, STEM presentations, creative contests, and networking opportunities. IEEE MTT-S,
along with other IEEE chapters, hosted a membership promotion booth with fun games,
engaging students and creating a lively environment for learning and interaction. The event
also recognised the achievements of school students in art and video contests, as well as
appreciated the contributions of volunteers.


IEEE Day Celebration 2025 successfully provided a platform for students to explore STEM
initiatives, interact with mentors and peers, and gain exposure to IEEE programs and
opportunities, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.

Dr Nilang Trivedi

IEEE Day Celebration: Uniting Students through Science and Technology

Biography:

Dr. Nilang B. Trivedi is a Scientist ‘G’ at the Research Centre Imarat, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex, DRDO, Hyderabad. He holds a B.E. in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Gujarat University and an M.Tech (Research) in Navigation and Control Engineering from Nirma University, Ahmedabad. With over two decades in defence research, he has contributed to the design and development of indigenous airborne radar systems, including radar altimeters. His expertise spans signal processing, radar systems, instrumentation, and FPGA-based technologies. He has received several honours, including the DRDO Lab Scientist of the Year Award (2017) and the National Technology Day Oration Medal (2019)
