IEEE DAY CELEBRATION
The IEEE Student Branch of JECC celebrated IEEE Day with great enthusiasm on October 7, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The celebration began with a cake-cutting ceremony, marking the spirit of innovation and unity that IEEE represents worldwide.
The Principal, Dr. P. Sojan Lal, inaugurated the event by cutting the cake in the presence of Dr. Jithin K. Jose, Branch Counselor, IEEE SB JECC. This was followed by an informative Member Development (MD) session for the students, highlighting the benefits of IEEE membership and encouraging active participation in technical and professional activities.
A training session for the IEEE Executive Committee members was also conducted to strengthen leadership and teamwork within the student branch. The event concluded with a discussion regarding the formation of the new Executive Committee, marking the beginning of preparations for the upcoming tenure.

The Spirit of IEEE
Dr. P. Sojan Lal, Principal of Jyothi Engineering College(Autonomous), Thrissur and a senior IEEE member, addressed the gathering by sharing his valuable experiences as part of IEEE over the years. He emphasized the importance of innovation, teamwork, and leadership among budding engineers. Through his inspiring words, he motivated students to actively participate in IEEE activities and utilize the platform to develop their professional and technical skills.
Empowering Students Through IEEE: Opportunities and Member Development
Dr. Jithin K. Jose, Branch Counselor of IEEE SB JECC and an experienced IEEE member, delivered an engaging session focusing on the wide range of opportunities available through IEEE. He explained how students can benefit from IEEE membership, get involved in technical events, and grow as professionals. His interactive approach encouraged students to take initiative and contribute actively to the functioning of the Student Branch.
