The first session of the IEEE Day Celebration, led by Rima Fathallah and organized by IEEE ESSTHS SB, SESAME SB, EPT SB, and ISET Bizerte SB, introduced students to the key opportunities and resources within IEEE, showing how membership helps build skills, networks, and leadership while enabling them to innovate and make an impact. The session covered:

What is IEEE : an overview of IEEE’s mission and its value to students, highlighting how membership supports technical, professional, and leadership growth.

International Events : global opportunities including IEEEXtreme (24-hour programming challenge), IEEE Day (celebrating innovation and collaboration), IEEEDuino (hands-on Arduino projects), and R8 Entrepreneurship Week (encouraging creativity and startups).

IEEE Resources : tools for learning and networking, such as Collabratec (professional collaboration), Learning Network (ILN) (online courses and certifications), and Xplore (access to research papers and publications).

IEEE Scholarships : support for students demonstrating academic excellence, innovation, and active involvement.

Project Grants : funding opportunities including HAC Grants, Foundation Grants, and the New Initiatives Program (NIP) for impactful projects.

Travel Grants : financial support to attend key events such as R8 SYP, R8 CS SYP, IHTC, and IAS Annual Meeting.

IEEE Tunisian Congress : major local congresses and workshops, including SDC, TRSYP, AINS, PES TGM, NRW, IAS TAM, WIE ACT, CS TAM, and TSYP13.
