The IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Student Branch Chapter, IIT Indore, is pleased to organize a technical talk on Deep Unfolding-an emerging approach that integrates model-based optimization with deep learning frameworks.

This session will introduce the principles of deep unfolding, where iterative algorithms from traditional signal processing or communication theory are unfolded into neural network architectures. Participants will learn how this method combines the interpretability of classical models with the adaptability of data-driven learning, achieving improved performance in tasks such as channel estimation, signal detection, and resource allocation in modern wireless networks.

The talk will provide both theoretical insights and practical examples, demonstrating how deep unfolding is driving innovation in 5G, 6G, and AI-enabled communication systems.

The event is open to students, researchers, and professionals interested in signal processing, optimization, and machine learning applications in communication systems.
