DSAverse - The Ultimate DSA Contest
IEEE NSUT, in collaboration with Coding Blocks, successfully organized DSAverse on 16th
October 2025 at the Mini Auditorium. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 50
students eager to test their problem-solving skills and knowledge of Data Structures and
Algorithms (DSA). Students from various branches and years came together, creating a lively and
energetic atmosphere. The contest was divided into two tracks — Beginner and Expert —
allowing students of all levels to take part. While the Beginner track focused on basic DSA
problems to help newcomers gain confidence, the Expert track featured more challenging
questions for experienced participants. Winners received prizes worth ₹10,000 along with
certificates of participation.
A major highlight of the event was an insightful speaker session by Abhishek Srivastava, Senior
Instructor and Product Engineer at Coding Blocks. He shared practical tips on building strong
DSA foundations, approaching problems strategically, and improving coding skills through
regular practice. He also discussed how mastering DSA plays a crucial role in cracking top tech
placements and interviews at companies like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. The interactive
nature of the session allowed students to ask questions and get personalized advice, making it
both informative and motivating. Abhishek’s engaging delivery and relatable examples inspired
students to stay curious, consistent, and passionate about coding, transforming their approach
toward learning DSA.
Throughout the event, participants actively discussed ideas, collaborated on solutions, and
learned from each other, making DSAverse not just a competition but a community-driven
learning experience. Students also got the chance to interact closely with mentors and
volunteers, clarify coding doubts, and gain insights into efficient problem-solving techniques.
Many participants shared that the contest helped them identify their strengths and areas for
improvement while boosting their confidence to participate in future coding challenges and
hackathons. The event concluded on a high note, with students appreciating its smooth
organization, well-structured contest format, and the valuable exposure it offered. DSAverse truly
celebrated the spirit of coding, teamwork, and continuous learning, leaving participants
motivated to keep growing, coding, and conquering new challenges.
