The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a guest lecture on the topic “Advanced power electronics in Electric vehicle and renewable energy sources” The event took place on 1st November 2025, aimed at providing students with industry perspectives on advanced topics. The event was conducted in Seminar Hall, Einstein Block, SITE attended by EEE, IEEE students, faculty members, and other department representatives interested in the topic.

Objectives of Guest lecture:

To provide an in-depth understanding of advanced power electronic converters and their role in Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Renewable Energy Systems.
To familiarize students with the latest research trends, design methodologies, and control strategies in power electronics.
To bridge the gap between academic concepts and real-world industrial applications in EV and renewable integration.
To enhance awareness about sustainable and energy-efficient technologies through advanced power conversion systems.
To motivate students to explore research opportunities and higher studies in power electronics and related fields.

Outcomes of Guest lecture:

Participants will gain practical insights into how power electronics enable efficient energy conversion in EVs and renewable systems.
Students will understand various topologies of converters and inverters used in energy storage and grid-connected applications.
Attendees will develop knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in electric mobility and renewable energy interfaces.
