part1 Fundamentals:
Goals and objectives:
The main goal of this session was to introduce participants to the fundamental principles of computer graphics programming. The workshop aimed to help attendees understand how digital images are represented and generated through code, setting a solid foundation for future exploration in the field.
Facilitator/Speaker: karim khili
Description of the session:
The day began with an overview of the history and applications of computer graphics, highlighting its use in gaming, animation, and user interface design. Participants then explored the concepts of pixels, coordinate systems, and color models such as RGB and RGBA. The instructor introduced the idea of rendering pipelines and transformations, showing how mathematical operations affect shapes and images on the screen.
Methods used:
Theoretical explanations were combined with short demonstrations to visualize the discussed concepts, allowing participants to connect theory with practice.
The workshop took place as part of the IEEE Day activities.
