About SAP 2025
SAP 2025 is a premier scientific event organised by the Optoelectronic Nanodevice Research Laboratory (ONRL) and Centre for Advanced Electronics (CAE), IIT Indore, with support from Optica Student Chapter (formerly OSA), IEEE Photonics Society (Madhya Pradesh Section & Student Chapter), and leading industry partners. The symposium brings together scientists, engineers, and industry leaders to explore breakthroughs in photonics and related fields.
The program is scheduled for November 16–18, 2025,

The Symposium on Advanced Photonics (SAP 2025) is designed to bring together researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and students to explore the latest advancements in photonics and its diverse applications. It will feature keynote addresses, invited talks, technical sessions, and networking opportunities, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange and innovation.
This symposium offers multifaceted benefits to its participants, focusing on the following key aspects:
Lecture Sessions- Engage with distinguished scientists, professors, and industry experts as they share insights into cutting-edge research and emerging trends in the mentioned focused areas of Optics and Photonics.
Interactive Sessions- Benefits from interactive discussions with leading experts in photonics.
Oral Presentations and Poster Sessions- Participants will have the opportunity to present their research in oral or poster formats, organised into thematic tracks for focused discussions. Best presentations will be recognised with awards to encourage excellence and innovation. Special focus towards Women in Photonics is kept in mind to support more women to participate: Women's Best Poster Awards.
Networking and Discussions- Dedicated sessions for networking with peers, industry professionals, and invited experts will enable collaborations across research areas. These discussions will address future directions, challenges, and opportunities in advanced photonics, bridging academia and industry.
We believe that the proposed program will effectively contribute to leveraging the technical understanding of students/researchers/faculties/scholars (about light-based technologies), in inspiring and enhancing the skills/knowledge in helping and nurturing the ideas to do research/teaching and to make various projects/products based on Light/LASER/Optical Fibre/Photonics Integrated Devices/Quantum photonics.
