IEEE DAY - BMSCE IEEE SB - Day 2 - Xtreme 101: A 10-Day Bootcamp to Think, Solve and Code like an Engineer
BMSCE IEEE SB on account of IEEE Day conducted Xtreme 101: A 10-Day Bootcamp to Think, Solve and Code like an Engineer as a prelude of IEEEXtreme 19.0. The Day 2 of the bootcamp was conducted in collaboration with GeeksforGeeks. Day 2 of “Xtreme 101: A 10-Day Bootcamp to Think, Solve and Code like an Engineer” was conducted by Mr. Devashish Khare, Learning and Development Manager and DSA Mentor at GeeksforGeeks, Bangalore, along with Mr. Sushanth, Teaching Assistant at GeeksforGeeks.
The session focused on building the right approach to problem-solving and understanding how algorithms work. Mr. Devashish explained important concepts like time and space complexity using simple day-to-day analogies, which made the session engaging and easy to follow. He also shared insights on how to get started with Competitive Programming and how to build strong logical thinking skills.
The session was interactive throughout, with students asking questions and taking part in discussions. It concluded with a short quiz and GeeksforGeeks goodies were given to participants who showed enthusiasm and curiosity.
A total of 30 participants attended the session offline. The session was especially helpful for first-year students who were new to coding, as it gave them a clear idea of how to start learning problem-solving and Data Structures and Algorithms.
