IEEE DAY - BMSCE IEEE SB - Day 4 - Xtreme 101: A 10-Day Bootcamp to Think, Solve and Code like an Engineer
Day 4 of “Xtreme 101: A 10-Day Bootcamp to Think, Solve and Code like an Engineer” was conducted by Dr. Namratha M, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bangalore.
The session began with a quick recap of arrays and pointers, laying the foundation for understanding linked lists. Dr. Namratha introduced the concept of linked lists in a clear and structured manner, explaining how they differ from arrays in terms of memory allocation and data management. Through simple analogies and visual comparisons, she made the topic engaging and easy to grasp for beginners.
The session was highly interactive, with participants actively engaging in discussions and clarifying doubts during the Q&A segment. The session concluded with a feedback form and a vote of thanks to the speaker for her insightful and beginner-friendly approach to teaching data structures.
A total of 20 participants attended the session offline and 25 participants joined online via Discord. The session provided a strong conceptual understanding of linked lists and their importance in programming.
Outcomes: Participants learned the basics of arrays, pointers, and linked lists, and developed a clear understanding of dynamic memory allocation. The session helped them relate theoretical concepts to practical applications, boosting their confidence in learning data structures.
