IDEATHON - IEEE DAY 2025
As part of the IEEE Day 2025 celebrations, IEEE SB COET organized an Ideathon exclusively for first-year students, aimed at fostering creativity, teamwork, and innovative thinking among budding engineers. The event commenced at 9:30 AM with an introductory address that set the tone for a day of ideation and inspiration. Participants were given a selection of predefined topics from which they could choose one to base their innovative idea upon. Each team worked collaboratively to develop unique solutions addressing real-world challenges, combining creativity with technical understanding. Throughout the session, the participants displayed remarkable enthusiasm and originality in presenting their concepts, which were evaluated by the judges based on innovation, feasibility, clarity, and social impact. The event concluded at 1:30 PM with the announcement of the winning teams, whose ideas stood out for their creativity and practicality. The Ideathon successfully provided a platform for students to express their ideas confidently and marked a strong beginning to their IEEE journey. With the active participation of 55 students, the event proved to be both competitive and inspiring, aligning perfectly with the IEEE Day 2025 theme — “Innovation begins where curiosity meets courage.” The Ideathon not only witnessed active participation from all attendees but also successfully cultivated innovation, critical thinking, and collaboration among students, inspiring them to take their first steps toward engineering solutions for real-world problems.
