Introduction
ATLAS SkillTech University proudly celebrated IEEE Day 2025, commemorating the global event that marks the first time engineers worldwide gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884. This year’s celebration embodied the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing  aligning with IEEE’s mission to advance technology for humanity.

Event Overview
The celebration coincided with the inauguration of the IEEE ATLAS Student Branch and the Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group, marking a significant milestone in the university’s journey toward fostering a strong technical and professional community. The event provided a platform for students, faculty, and industry experts to engage in meaningful discussions, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities for technological advancement.

The ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries and guests including:

Their inspiring presence and insightful addresses encouraged students to embrace the values of IEEE — innovation, collaboration, and ethical leadership in technology.

Activities and Highlights
The celebration featured engaging sessions including “Know Your IEEE”, which introduced students to the global scope, benefits, and opportunities offered by IEEE, and IEEE Xtreme sessions, which highlighted competitive coding, problem-solving, and collaboration challenges for students.

During the event, Dr. Sameer Nanivadekar delivered an insightful speech on IEEE, its global impact, benefits, and potential challenges, encouraging students to leverage IEEE resources for professional growth. Dr. Mansi Subhedar spoke about the growth of Women in Engineering (WIE) and emphasized the numerous benefits it provides to women in technology, inspiring female students to actively participate and excel in STEM fields.

IEEE Day Cake-Cutting Ceremony
A highlight of the celebration was the IEEE Day cake-cutting ceremony, organized to mark the unity, enthusiasm, and spirit of collaboration within the newly formed student branch. The cake, designed in IEEE Day colors with IEEE Day Logo, symbolized the collective commitment to technological progress. Faculty members, dignitaries, and student representatives participated in the ceremony, creating a moment of joy, togetherness, and pride that perfectly captured the essence of IEEE Day.

Special appreciation is extended to the IEEE ATLAS Student Branch and WIE core team and volunteers for their dedication, teamwork, and meticulous planning that ensured the seamless execution of the event.
