IEEE Day 2025 Celebration
Introduction:
The BEC–IEEE Student Branch (STB35261) celebrated IEEE Day 2025 on 11th October 2025 with great enthusiasm and active participation from faculty members and students. The event aimed to commemorate the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and advancement of technology for humanity - the core essence of IEEE Day.
Guests Present:
The celebration was graced by the presence of the following distinguished guests:

Objectives:
• To celebrate IEEE Day 2025 under the theme “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.”
• To create awareness about IEEE’s mission of advancing technology for humanity.
• To inspire students to actively engage in IEEE activities and professional development opportunities.
• To encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among IEEE members, faculty, and students.
• To motivate participants to apply technology in addressing real-world challenges for a sustainable future.
Brief Description:
The event commenced at 2:00 PM with an inaugural note highlighting the significance of IEEE Day and its global theme, “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.”
Mr. Sachin K Pawar, IEEE Day Ambassador 2025, addressed the gathering first, delivering an engaging speech on the history, purpose, and significance of IEEE Day, and how it unites engineers and technologists worldwide in celebrating innovation and collaboration for humanity’s progress.
Following this, Prof. Abhishek Deshmukh (Chair, IEEE NKSS) delivered an insightful overview talk on IEEE Day, elaborating on IEEE’s mission, the importance of professional networking, and the role of students in advancing technology for humanity. His one-hour session motivated students to engage actively in IEEE activities and contribute toward technological innovation.
After the talks, an interactive session was held between the guests and participants, focusing on professional development, collaborative projects, and the wide range of opportunities available through IEEE memberships.
To mark the celebration, a cake-cutting ceremony was also organized, symbolizing unity, innovation, and the shared spirit of the IEEE community. The event concluded with words of encouragement from the dignitaries, inspiring participants to continue contributing to technological advancement for a better tomorrow.
Conclusion:
The BEC–IEEE Student Branch successfully celebrated IEEE Day 2025, fostering awareness about IEEE’s vision and strengthening the community of budding engineers at BEC. The event inspired students to take an active role in IEEE initiatives and explore various technical societies and activities under the branch.
