IEEE Day 2025
The SSN IEEE Student Branch, in collaboration with the IEEE Madras Section, hosted a vibrant and inspiring celebration for IEEE Day 2025. Kicking off at 10:00 AM in the Mini Auditorium of SSN College of Engineering, the event brought together a diverse group of enthusiastic participants including students, faculty, and esteemed guests. This occasion marked the 141st anniversary of IEEE, celebrating decades of innovation, collaboration, and technological advancement for humanity.
The program began with a warm welcome and a thoughtful explanation of the significance of IEEE, marking 141 years of advancing technology for humanity. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation for the day ahead.
The session continued with felicitations to distinguished dignitaries who shared their valuable insights and inspiring messages.
Each guest’s address provided motivation and encouragement to the participants, reinforcing IEEE’s enduring impact on technology and education.
To commemorate IEEE’s 141 years of legacy, a cake cutting ceremony was held, bringing together dignitaries, faculty members, and student representatives. This symbolic act celebrated unity and reflected the joyous spirit of the occasion.
The “Answer - IEEE Edition” quiz tested participants’ technical knowledge in a lively and interactive format. The competition highlighted the spirit of innovation and friendly rivalry, with winners recognized and awarded for their exemplary performance.
The post-lunch session focused on emerging advancements in AI through a workshop on Agentic AI and Generative AI. The sessions explored how these AI technologies are transforming industries and redefining innovation, providing participants with practical insights and forward-looking perspectives
Awards were distributed to the winners of the quiz competition. All participants were appreciated for their active engagement and enthusiasm throughout the event.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to the chief guests, coordinators, volunteers, and attendees. The collective commitment to IEEE’s vision of advancing technology for humanity was reaffirmed.
