Overview:

As part of the IEEE Day Celebrations 2025, the IEEE Student Branch of Vasavi College of Engineering (A) organized a professional development workshop titled “LinkedIn Profile Building Workshop” in collaboration with AIESEC in Hyderabad. The session was designed to guide students in optimizing their LinkedIn profiles to enhance their personal branding, networking, and career prospects in the professional world. 

 

Objectives:

·         To help students understand the importance of LinkedIn as a professional networking platform.

·         To provide practical tips for creating impactful and industry-ready LinkedIn profiles.

·         To enable students to effectively present their skills, achievements, and experiences to recruiters.

·         To celebrate IEEE Day by promoting professional growth and personal development among students.

 

Event Details:

The session was conducted by Ms. Shreya Pallala, Senior Marketing Manager at AIESEC in Hyderabad. She shared valuable insights on how students can build a strong professional presence online, emphasizing aspects such as profile optimization, networking strategies, and content engagement. The workshop included live demonstrations and interactive discussions, allowing students to understand how to structure their LinkedIn profiles to stand out to employers. The event concluded with a short Q&A session where participants clarified their queries related to LinkedIn features and career networking.

 

Participation & Outcome:

Total Participants: 180 students (3rd Year ECE)

The workshop received an excellent response from students, who actively engaged throughout the session. Many attendees appreciated the practical approach of the workshop and expressed enthusiasm to implement the strategies shared by the speaker.

 

Conclusion:

The LinkedIn Profile Building Workshop was a highly informative and impactful session that helped students understand the nuances of building a professional digital identity. The event successfully aligned with the theme of IEEE Day 2025 — ‘Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow’ — by equipping students with the tools needed to advance their professional journey.
