In connection with World Mental Health Day 2025 and as part of the IEEE Day 2025 celebrations, the IEEE Student Branch of Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology conducted a wellness-focused talk on “General and Mental Health Through Ayurveda.” The session aimed to raise awareness about maintaining mental and physical well-being through traditional Ayurvedic practices.
The talk featured Dr. Vishnu Mohan M.K. and Dr. Poornima Premchand, both Specialist Medical Officers from the National Ayush Mission, GAH Nedumangad, who shared valuable insights on how Ayurveda can help balance the mind and body.The event began with a welcome address by an IEEE volunteer, followed by a brief introduction of the speakers. The speakers emphasized the importance of mindfulness, nutrition, and lifestyle in maintaining good health. Students actively participated throughout the session, engaging in discussions and sharing their questions and reflections.The session provided a refreshing and educational experience for all attendees, highlighting the relevance of traditional medicine in achieving holistic well-being. The event witnessed over 100 participants and served as a meaningful part of the IEEE Day 2025 celebrations, promoting wellness and awareness within the campus community.
