IEEE Day Celebrations, IEEE - VBIT Student Branch

The IEEE - VBIT Student Branch proudly celebrated IEEE Day on 7th October, 2025. This day honors the global community of engineers, researchers and technologists who share a vision of advancing technology for humanity and leveraging technology for a better tomorrow. 

The celebration showcased IEEE’s spirit of collaboration, innovation and excellence. It highlighted the power of working together to turn ideas into meaningful engineering solutions. To mark the occasion, IEEE - VBIT SB organized a Membership Drive for students and faculty. This drive raised awareness about the benefits of IEEE membership and encouraged people to actively participate in the global network. It sparked engaging discussions and inspired many to join the vibrant IEEE community.

After the Membership Drive, IEEE - VBIT SB held the IEEE Day Celebrations with great enthusiasm. Esteemed IEEE members, dignitaries and faculty members attended, sharing their insights on innovation, leadership and the importance of working together in technology.

A highlight of the event was the appointment of Ms. B. Chitti Sujana as the IEEE Day Ambassador and Mr. Sai Deekshith Baddam as the IEEE Xtreme Ambassador for the Asia-Pacific Region. This brought international recognition to the student branch.

The event demonstrated IEEE - VBIT SB’s strong commitment to nurturing innovation, promoting technical excellence and empowering the next generation of engineers to create a better future through technology.

IEEE Day Celebrations were organized to mark the innovation, cooperation and technical excellence spirit promoted by the IEEE community. The schedule of the event was as follows:

1. Commemoration of IEEE Day - To mark the global community of researchers, engineers and technologists striving for technological progress for humankind.

2. IEEE Membership Drive - Inviting students and faculty to join IEEE membership and pursue global learning, networking and research.

3. Interactive Sessions and Discussions - Invigorating the participants by engaging them in discussions on innovation, leadership and career development within IEEE.

4. IEEE Day Celebrations - Convening dignitaries, faculty and members to commemorate achievements, exchange experiences and reiterate the branch's commitment to innovation.

5. Ambassador Recognition - Recognition of:

   Ms. B. Chitti Sujana as IEEE Day Ambassador
   Mr. Sai Deekshith Baddam as IEEE Xtreme Ambassador (Asia - Pacific Region)

6. Reflection of Accomplishments and Future Vision - Identifying the student branch's achievements and goals for future IEEE activities.
