PIXELS WITH PURPOSE – CREATING A BETTER TOMORROW
IEEE Day EVent
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with the IEEE Student Branch of HKBK College of Engineering, organized a creative technical event titled “Pixels with purpose– Creating a Better Tomorrow” on 14th October 2025 at Room B305.
The event aimed to blend artistic imagination with technological innovation, where participants showcased posters, digital artworks, and conceptual designs that reflect sustainable development, smart technologies, and human-centered innovations for the future.
The program commenced with an inaugural address by Dr. Manjunath Kounte Head of the Department, ECE, followed by a welcome note from the event coordinators.
Participants presented their designs before the judge Dr.Parvathy Thampi, Associate Professor, Department of ECE. Who evaluated the participants based on creativity, innovation, presentation, and relevance to the theme.
Total of [10] participants took part in the competition, displaying a wide range of ideas—from AI-assisted environmental conservation to futuristic communication systems and smart city solutions.
Results:
- 1st Place: Supreeth M M(CSE)
- 2nd Place: Amoghasidda S J (CSE)
- 3rd Place: Noor Mohammed (ECE)
The event was coordinated by Prof. Summaiya Almas, Dr. Babu Chinta, with student coordinators Pooja, Pavani, Madhusudhan and Molidharan from ECE
