As part of the IEEE Day 2025 celebrations, the Department of ECE, in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch KL University Hyderabad and IEEE GRSS Student Branch Chapter KLH, organized a 24-hour National Hackathon titled “Hackathon 2025 – Where Hardware Meets Imagination” on October 8th and 9th, 2025 at KLH University, Aziznagar Campus, Hyderabad.

The hackathon focused on solving real-time societal problems through innovative AI-based solutions, with challenge themes such as Smart AI Waste, Agrishield AI, Microsense AI, and Sky Guard AI. The event attracted participation from 1000+ students nationwide, who showcased creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Mr. Bala Prasad Peddigari, Chief Innovation Officer & Global Head – Technology Advisory Services, TCS, and Vice-Chair, IEEE Hyderabad Section, graced the event as Chief Guest. He inspired participants by emphasizing the role of hackathons in driving innovation and sustainable technological development.
Dr. Akella Ramakrishna, Principal, KLH Aziznagar Campus, highlighted the institution’s commitment to promoting hackathons and innovation at national and international levels. Dr. Budati Anil Kumar, Head of the ECE Department, discussed how the problem statements were designed with input from industry experts.

The event brought together faculty, students, and professionals to celebrate IEEE’s spirit of collaboration, creativity, and advancing technology for humanity.
