IEEE SIGHT HU – Where innovation Meets Humanity at IEEE Day 2025
For the first time ever, the IEEE SIGHT Team at the Hashemite University proudly took part in this international celebration, uniting technology and compassion under one mission: to make technology a force for humanity. Leaving an unforgettable mark on this special day.
As an important step toward achieving our vision, we launched a tailored marketing campaign featuring a superhero character, a symbol of hope, innovation, and humanity. Just like every superhero inspires change, our superhero represents our mission to provide real solutions that make a difference.
Gaming meets innovation: SIGHT’S Minecraft Project
Our first activity was something truly unique. A custom-built Minecraft server, designed and managed by SIGHT team. Inside this virtual world, we introduced a series of interactive mini games powered by a simple neural network system, allowing participants to learn the basics of artificial intelligence in a fun, hands-on way. Through this creative approach, we aimed to make AI concepts more accessible to students while showing how technology can blend with creativity and entertainment, and it became a gateway for students to learn, play, and join our growing SIGHT community.
This experience sparked curiosity, encouraged new memberships, and gave everyone a memorable first impression of IEEE SIGHT at HU.
Empowering Sustainability: The Hydroponic Tower Project
With the same passion for creativity, our second project, Hydroponic Tower, reflects SIGHT’S vision of using technology to protect and sustain our environment. This soil-free, water-based farming system reduces water waste by 90-95%, saves space, and enhances plant growth by 30-50%.
Through this project, we aimed to show how technology can protect our environment while supporting goals like clean water, responsible consumption, and sustainable agriculture.
With every activity and idea we shared, SIGHT proved that innovation becomes truly powerful when it serves people, reminding everyone that being a part of IEEE is not just about technology, but it is about making a change.
