EMBS National Day 2025
EMBS National Day 2025, organized by the IEEE EMBS Student Branch at Jordan University of Science and Technology, brings together students, researchers, and professionals in the biomedical field to share innovations, ideas, and experiences through inspiring talks, interactive booths, and networking opportunities.
It is one of the biggest biomedical engineering gatherings in Jordan, aiming to connect academia with industry and highlight the latest advancements in healthcare technology.

Eng. Rayan Kamal - Hospital Design
Biography:
Biomedical engineer specialized in medical imaging devices and interventional radiology.
∙ Holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
∙ 5 years of experience in medical project management and operations.
∙ Contributed to major medical projects with capacities exceeding 1,015 beds.
∙ Combines technical and administrative expertise to enhance healthcare quality.
Eng. Ahmad Qandeel - Linear Accelerator
Biography:
∙ Certified Elekta engineer in radiation therapy
∙ Specialist in installation and maintenance of Linear Accelerators
∙ Expert in VersaHD systems and brachytherapy
∙ Holds multiple Elekta certifications, including radioactive source replacement
∙ Led major installation and maintenance projects in Jordan and the region
∙ Noted for advanced troubleshooting, networking, and electrical systems skills
Eng. Mohammad Shdeifat - Surgical Rooms
Biography:
∙ Biomedical engineer at the Royal Scientific Society with over 8 years of experience
∙ Specialist in maintenance of operating tables, surgical drills, and medical gas systems
∙ Expert in medical engineering sales with experience in leading medical device companies
∙ Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Hashemite University
∙ Certified in maintenance of surgical tables and medical gas systems
∙ Certified trainer for ultrasound systems and surgical drills
∙ Combines technical and commercial expertise in the medical sector
∙ Currently employed at the Ministry of Health in the Directorate of Biomedical Engineering and serves as Head of the Operations Group
Dr. Hazeem Hadad - Panel
Biography:
International expert in biosafety, dual-use issues, and artificial intelligence
∙ Member of United Nations research bodies (UNODA, UNESCO, NTI, UNDRR)
∙ Head of the Molecular Genomics and Biological Risk Management Unit at Jordan University of Science and Technology

∙ Professor of Biomedical Instrumentation Engineering at Jordan University of Science and Technology
