Lecture Title: ISO 55000 Aligned Framework to build Asset Health and Criticality Model for Electricity Assets

Speaker Bio: Mr. Debasish Dash is the Head of Digital Transformation at CEPCO Saudi Arabia, where he developed a 5-year digital roadmap, led Oracle Fusion ERP implementation, and moved 95% of workloads to the cloud. He founded Domainxeed.com, focusing on energy and cleantech, and co-founded Inergio.io, achieving revenue within 12 months and acquiring a 2 GW solar portfolio. Mr. Dash is an IBM Certified E&U Industry Expert with expertise in digital transformation, asset performance management, and sustainability. He has published for IBM Redbooks. His career includes significant roles at IBM, supporting global customers in various industries.

Topic Abstract: The Asset Health and Criticality Model (AHCM) is an ISO 55000–aligned framework designed to evaluate the condition, importance, and risk of electrical assets in power and renewable energy systems. It aims to facilitate data-driven asset management, enhancing predictive maintenance, reliability, and lifecycle investment optimisation. The model integrates two primary dimensions: the Asset Health Index (HI), which quantifies physical and operational conditions through field inspections, test data, and real-time monitoring, and the Asset Criticality Index (CI), which assesses the potential impact of asset failure on safety, reliability, financial loss, environmental compliance, and regulatory obligations. The Risk Priority Index (RPI) is calculated from these indices to prioritise maintenance, refurbishment, or replacement. AHCM consolidates data from SCADA, CMMS, ERP, and laboratory diagnostics into a centralised analytics platform, offering transparent dashboards and a traceable risk register. This approach transforms traditional maintenance into a risk-based system, ensuring reliability, safety, and financial efficiency in critical electrical infrastructure.
