INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON INNOVATIONS IN COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE (ICICI-2026)
INTRODUCTION

The International Conference on Innovations in Computational Intelligence (ICICI-2026), a two-day IEEE technically co-sponsored conference, was successfully organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) and the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology (CSIT), KIET Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad, on 24–25 April 2026.

The conference brought together distinguished academicians, researchers, industry experts, scholars, and students from India and across the globe to discuss recent advancements and emerging trends in Computational Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, Natural Language Processing, and related domains.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and opening announcements in the esteemed presence of Chief Patron Prof. (Dr.) Nagaraj Ramrao, Vice Chancellor, KIET Deemed to be University, Chief Patron Dr. Manoj Goel, Pro Vice Chancellor, KIET Deemed to be University, and Patron Prof. (Dr.) Adesh Kr. Pandey. The successful organization of the conference was led by General Co-Chairs Prof. (Dr.) Rekha Kashyap, Dean CSE (AI & ML), and Prof. (Dr.) Harsh Khatter, Dean CSIT.
The conference served as a significant platform for knowledge exchange, research dissemination, and fostering collaborations among academia, industry, and research organizations.

INAUGURAL SESSION AND DISTINGUISHED DIGNITARIES
The inaugural session was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Jasjit Suri from Idaho State University, USA, an internationally renowned researcher and expert in Artificial Intelligence and Biomedical Engineering.
The conference was further enriched by the presence of eminent Guests of Honor and keynote speakers from across the world, including:

Prof. (Dr.) Rekha Kashyap delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the growing importance of interdisciplinary research, innovation, and international collaboration in shaping the future of computational intelligence. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Nagaraj Ramrao, addressed the gathering and highlighted the university’s commitment towards fostering high-quality research, innovation, and global academic engagement.
During the ceremony, dignitaries were felicitated for their valuable contributions to academia and research. The Chief Guest, Prof. Jasjit Suri, delivered an inspiring address highlighting the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence across healthcare, engineering, and societal applications. A souvenir release ceremony was also conducted, marking the formal commencement of the conference proceedings.
The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Harsh Khatter, Dean CSIT, followed by a group photograph and networking interaction.

CONFERENCE STATISTICS AND RESEARCH CONTRIBUTIONS
ICICI-2026 received an overwhelming response from the global research community. The call for research papers remained open until 31 December 2025, during which the conference received a remarkable total of 2,488 paper submissions from researchers worldwide.
To ensure academic excellence and maintain the highest standards of quality, every submitted manuscript underwent a rigorous peer-review process involving three independent expert reviewers. Following the comprehensive review process, only high-quality contributions were selected for presentation.
The conference achieved an acceptance rate of approximately 8%, demonstrating its strong emphasis on quality, originality, and research excellence. A total of 200 research papers were successfully registered and accepted for presentation during the conference.

INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL PARTICIPATION

A total of 29 technical sessions were conducted during the conference, providing researchers with opportunities to present their work, exchange ideas, and receive valuable feedback from experts in their respective fields.
The sessions facilitated meaningful discussions on emerging technologies, innovative methodologies, real-world applications, and future research directions. Participants actively engaged in technical deliberations, networking activities, and collaborative discussions that contributed significantly to the overall success of the event.
The conference also served as a catalyst for strengthening academic-industry partnerships and encouraging interdisciplinary research collaborations.

IEEE ASSOCIATION AND PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES
ICICI-2026 was organized with strong technical support from the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and active involvement from the IEEE Student Branch of KIET Deemed to be University.
All accepted and presented papers will be submitted to IEEE Xplore for publication consideration and possible indexing in reputed databases such as Scopus, thereby enhancing the visibility, accessibility, and impact of the research contributions presented during the conference.
The conference was conducted in a hybrid mode, enabling both physical and virtual participation, thereby ensuring broader accessibility and international engagement.
