Biography:

Prof. Panigrahi currently serves as the Director of the Centre for Quantum Science and Technology at Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University, where he leads cutting-edge research and academic initiatives in quantum information, optics, and theoretical physics. Prior to this role, he held the prestigious position of Director at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the institute’s academic and research landscape. He is also a Professor of Physics at IISER Kolkata and has been affiliated with the Physical Research Laboratory in Ahmedabad, reflecting his broad engagement with India’s premier scientific institutions.

Prof. Panigrahi’s research spans quantum information processing, Bose-Einstein condensates, nonlinear dynamics, and quantum optics, with over 400 peer-reviewed international publications to his credit. His work has significantly advanced the understanding of quantum teleportation, entanglement, and quantum-state sharing, earning him a robust citation record and a high h-index on Google Scholar. As an educator and mentor, he has guided numerous doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, contributing to the growth of India’s quantum research community. His academic leadership and scientific excellence continue to inspire innovation and collaboration in the field of quantum science.
