  Speakers

Chair: Ngwe Thawdar currently serves as the program manager and technical lead of the terahertz communications portfolio at the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate. She received her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the State University of New York,  Binghamton University and her master’s and doctorate degrees in electrical engineering from the State University of New York, University at Buffalo. She is also an adjunct instructor at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

Vice Chair: Mr. Nathaniel Rowe received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Binghamton University in 2009 and 2012, respectively. He is currently Principal Electronics Engineer, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), where he has led research and development in resilient wireless communications and airborne networking for over 15 years. His prior roles include adjunct professor at SUNY Polytechnic Institute and product support engineer with a defense contractor.

Treasurer: Mustapha Wolly is an Electrical Test Engineer at Semikron Danfoss. He received his Master’s degree in Robotics from the University at Buffalo and his undergraduate degree from the University of Mines and Technology in Ghana. He previously worked as a New Product Introduction Engineer at Tesla in 2022 before moving to his current role in 2023. His current areas of interest include failure analysis and material characterization of semiconductors, as well as packaging and testing of semiconductor devices.

Secretary: Dr. Priyangshu Sen is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. He received his Ph.D. degree from Northeastern University and worked as a wireless system development engineer at Amazon from 2022 to 2023. His current research interests include the experimental and statistical characterization of terahertz channels, along with designing physical and link-layer solutions.
