      • IEEE CS SD Chapter hosted Networking Reception and a panel discussion at MMSD for the IEEE CS Career Catalyst Scholars with IEEE President as a Special Guest. https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/509520

      • IEEE CS SD Chapter received a grant of $3000 from Computer Society as support for this event.
      • Upal Mahbub. on behalf of the CS Chapter, received IEEE President's One IEEE Coin as a gift

      • 12 student members signed the petition
      • Southwestern College will support the Branch by providing access to classrooms and laboratories for weekly meetings, workshops, and hands-on project work, as well as audiovisual equipment upon request. Through the Student Affairs and Associated Student Organization (ASO) offices, the Institute will assist with event approvals, room reservations, club registration, and access to student activity funds. Our institution will also support the Student Branch by providing official communication channels, such as Canvas, so students can easily see when and where events are held and what materials are needed for workshops.

            The Engineering Department Chair at Southwestern College, Professor Dmitriy Kalantarov, will attend key meetings when possible and help connect students with academic resources, internships, and transfer opportunities. Additional faculty will be encouraged to serve as guest speakers and project mentors, especially for our capstone-style projects and end-of-semester showcases.

    • Funding (full/partial) for Kathleen's Qualcomm Visit on Tue Dec 16 - Upal

      • IEEE President will meet Qualcom's senior leadership from 3-4pm
      • From 4-5pm, she will give a presentation at the N auditorium followed by a reception from 5-6pm

        • Only open for Qualcomm employees 
        • Opportunity to be part of this event and engage with Qualcomm's employees (IEEE/non-IEEE) - San Diego Section provide some funding for the reception and be part of this event. The ExCom members will be invited to attend Kathleen's talk and the reception. We can negotiate to have a SD Section booth at the event.
        • Request is for up to $2500 as support from the section.
