World Students’ Day 2025 – Celebrating Kalam’s Legacy

The IEEE Reliability Society of Sri Sairam Engineering College organized an online event titled “World Students’ Day 2025 – Celebrating Kalam’s Legacy” on 12th October 2025 to honor the visionary Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the “People’s President” and an eternal inspiration to students across the world. As part of the celebration, a Poster Design Contest was conducted on the theme “Dream, Create, Inspire – A Tribute to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.” The contest aimed to encourage students to channel their creativity and artistic skills while reflecting on Dr. Kalam’s values of innovation, education, and perseverance. Participants were invited to design posters using the Canva platform, with a ready-made template and a Google Form submission link provided for convenience. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students belonging to various departments and year levels, each expressing their admiration for Dr. Kalam through unique and imaginative designs. All participants were awarded Certificates of Participation as a token of encouragement, and the most creative entries received Certificates of Appreciation. Selected posters were collaged and featured on social media, symbolizing the unity and talent of the student community in celebrating Kalam’s legacy.

The event was efficiently coordinated by Ramani S (III Year, CSE), who also serves as the Design Lead of the IEEE Reliability Society. Under his guidance, the event ran smoothly and achieved its purpose of motivating students to dream big and create with passion. This initiative not only fostered creativity but also reminded participants of Dr. Kalam’s timeless message — “Dream, Dream, Dream. Dreams transform into thoughts, and thoughts result in action.” The World Students’ Day 2025 Poster Design Contest successfully fulfilled its goal of inspiring students to embody Dr. Kalam’s vision and to continue learning, creating, and innovating with purpose.
