The IEEE Magnetics Society Spain Chapter and the University of Oviedo are pleased to host a Distinguished Lecture by Prof. Yayoi Takamura, Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Magnetics Society and Professor at the University of California, Davis (USA). The talk will be held at Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of the University of Oviedo.

The lecture, titled “Tailoring Magnetic Spin Textures in La₀.₇Sr₀.₃MnO₃-Based Micromagnets”, will explore recent advances in the design and control of magnetic spin textures in complex oxide micromagnets. Prof. Takamura will discuss how strain, patterning, and interfacial effects can be engineered to tailor spin configurations, providing insights into the physics and potential applications of oxide-based spintronic devices.

This event aims to promote scientific and technical discussion among researchers, students, and professionals interested in magnetism, spintronics, and advanced functional materials. Attendance is free and open to all.
