Geoscience and Remote Sensing Workshop
The IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) UGA Student Chapter is hosting its Geoscience and Remote Sensing Workshop, featuring two focused and insightful sessions designed to support both emerging and experienced researchers in the remote sensing community. This event brings together experts who will share practical guidance on securing competitive research funding and demonstrate innovative sensing technologies used across ground-based and satellite platforms.
The workshop opens with “Winning NASA FINESST: Insights on Crafting a Stellar Research Proposal,” offering strategies for developing compelling research ideas and strengthening application materials for one of NASA’s premier graduate programs. Following a dinner break and networking opportunity, the second session, “Technology Demonstration in Remote Sensing: From Ground to Satellite,” highlights modern tools and methods that drive today’s advances in Earth observation.
Join us for an afternoon of expert talks, hands-on insight, and meaningful interaction with peers and professionals. This event aims to foster collaboration across disciplines and inspire new perspectives on the evolving landscape of geoscience, remote sensing, and Earth observation technologies.
