Arduino course Day 1
During this session we will:
-
Set up the development environment — install the Arduino IDE (and alternatives), board drivers, and verify USB connection.
-
Explain What is Arduino? — history, typical use-cases and real-world applications (robotics, IoT, prototyping, automation).
-
Break down the main components of an Arduino board — microcontroller, power circuitry, voltage regulators, crystals, USB interface, headers, and common modules (sensors/actuators).
-
Walk through the Arduino pinout with practical examples of when to use each.
-
Quick hands-on: connect an Arduino, upload your first sketch (Blink), and verify everything is working.
By the end of Day 1 you will:
-
Have a fully working Arduino development setup on your laptop.
-
Be able to identify the main parts of an Arduino board and understand pin functions.
-
Upload and run a basic program on the board.
