Computer Vision Application in Healthcare
Computer vision is becoming an essential part of modern healthcare, helping clinicians work faster and make more informed decisions. It supports automated analysis of medical images such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs and retinal images, improving early detection of diseases and reducing diagnostic errors. It also enables real-time monitoring in critical care through video-based vital-sign estimation, movement tracking and fall detection. In surgical settings, computer vision assists with navigation, instrument recognition and workflow analysis, leading to safer and more precise procedures. Combined with advances in deep learning, these systems continue to expand opportunities for personalized care, early intervention and efficient clinical workflows.
