As part of a dynamic initiative to nurture innovation and entrepreneurial skills among youth, IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka conducted an insightful hybrid session titled “How to Convert Your Business Idea to a Pitch Deck” on 3rd May 2025. This session was designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs transform their raw ideas into compelling pitch decks that effectively communicate value to investors.
The session featured Mr. Heminda Jayaweera, Executive Director of TRACE Sri Lanka and a pivotal figure in Sri Lanka’s startup ecosystem. Drawing from his extensive experience in venture building and startup acceleration, Mr. Jayaweera delivered a detailed walkthrough on how to structure and present a pitch deck. He emphasized storytelling, market clarity, investor expectations, and the importance of demonstrating traction and scalability.
The event maintained a highly interactive format. Attendees engaged actively through live Q&A sessions, open floor discussions, and personalized feedback segments.
