SAMARTHA 2025 - 36 Hrs A National Level Hackathon
The SAMARTHA 2025 National Hackathon at Mohan Babu University organised by the IEEE Student Branch was held from October 24th to 26th, 2025, at the university’s Central Library, Tirupati. The 36-hour innovation marathon received an overwhelming 650+ team registrations comprising over 1700 students from 200+ premier institutions across 20 states of India, including more than 70 top NIRF-ranked universities. After a rigorous multi-stage selection process, the top 60 teams were shortlisted for the on-site finale. Finally, 57 teams from eight different states, comprising 238 participants, have appeared in the on-site final round.
Welcome address by Dr B. Hemanth Kumar. He expressed immense pride in the successful conduct of SAMARTHA 2025 – The 36-Hour National Level Hackathon, organised by the IEEE Student Branch, Mohan Babu University, and technically sponsored by the IEEE Hyderabad Section.
Dr. Hemanth highlighted the overwhelming participation of 650 teams and 1700+ students from 200+ institutions across 20 states, including 70+ top NIRF-ranked universities, and acknowledged the industry jury from Microsoft, ServiceNow, DBS Bank, Salesforce, Tech Mahindra, and Warner Bros. Discovery for their valuable evaluation.
Inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, MBU, Prof. Nagraj Ram Rao: Officially inaugurated the Samartha 2025 National Hackathon, marking the formal commencement of this prestigious 36-hour event. With his inspiring words, he motivated all participants to harness their creativity and technical skills to innovate and solve real-world challenges. His inauguration set a vibrant tone for the intense and collaborative journey ahead.
Level-Wise Verification by Jury: The jury conducted a rigorous three-level verification process to ensure the quality and fairness of the hackathon submissions. In the first level, each team’s project was screened for alignment with problem statements and basic functionality. The second level involved a detailed technical evaluation by experts, assessing innovation, feasibility, and implementation. In the final level, top projects underwent comprehensive scrutiny, including live demonstrations and Q&A sessions with the jury before winners were decided.
Announcement of winners by Hon’ble Executive Director, MBU, Mr. Vinay Maheshwari: Announced the winners of Samartha 2025 with pride and enthusiasm. He congratulated all the participating teams for their hard work and innovative ideas, highlighting the high standard of competition. The top teams awarded were: Team Auscsync (Winner), receiving ₹1,50,000; Team Authenticators (1st Runner-up), receiving ₹1,25,000; and the Vishwakarma Institute team (2nd Runner-up), receiving ₹1,00,000. Additionally, seven consolation prizes of ₹15,000 each were awarded to recognise exceptional efforts across various technology domains.
