RSR & RSYP – CENTRO-NORTE SECTION: Engineering as a Tool of Hope – Dr. Ruben Godoy
In this live talk, Prof. Dr. Ruben Barros Godoy (UFMS) shares his experience in scientific missions carried out in remote and hard-to-reach regions, where engineering goes beyond the laboratory and becomes a powerful instrument for social transformation.
Through sustainable and accessible technologies – such as solar pumping systems and clean-energy solutions – communities gain access to water, education, and dignity.
The presentation highlights how purpose-driven engineering can create hope, inspire future engineers, and redefine the role of technology in caring for people and the environment.
This session is part of the IEEE Centro-Norte Brazil Section Student Branch Meeting program and is organized by IEEE Young Professionals and the IEEE UFMS Student Branch.
