Keno A. Villavicencio is an academic professional whose decade-long journey in higher education has been marked by innovation, leadership, and service. Based in Cavite, Philippines, he currently serves as Associate Professor V at the Department of Data Science and Analytics of the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas (KLD). As the founding dean of the Institute of Mathematical Applications and Computing Sciences (IMACS), he played a key role in shaping KLD’s computing programs and establishing a strong foundation for its growth. Today, he continues to advance these efforts as the Chair of the Research and Extension Committee at the Institute of Computing and Digital Innovation (ICDI).

 

Before joining KLD, Villavicencio honed his craft through years of teaching and leadership in various institutions, including Cavite State University, City College of Tagaytay, Olivarez College–Tagaytay, and AMA Computer College–Fairview Campus. His academic foundation is equally strong, holding a Master of Arts in Innovative Technology Education from the University of Makati and a Bachelor in Industrial Technology major in Electronic Technology from Cavite State University–Main Campus, complemented by post-baccalaureate credentials in Professional Chaplaincy and Education.

 

Throughout his career, Villavicencio has been recognized for his exemplary work in technology education and leadership. Among his distinctions are Outstanding TLE and TVL Educator in Leadership and Management (2024), Outstanding Individual in Science and Technology Education (2023), and Outstanding Technology Educator of the Year (2022)—honors conferred by national award-giving bodies for his commitment to excellence, innovation, and transformative education.
