IEEEXTREME.19 REPORT :
The event was a 24-hour hackathon designed to challenge participants not only on their technical problem-solving abilities but also on their capacity to manage team dynamics. This edition featured a unique murder mystery theme, centered on the demise of our beloved mascot, Abdou. This engaging narrative served as a compelling opportunity to unite like-minded individuals in a collaborative effort to crack the case.
The event commenced with an organized participant check-in at 20:00, during which all attendees received their official welcome packs.
Following the registration, a schedule of engaging activities was conducted to foster a collaborative atmosphere. The evening began with social mixers and interactive games at 21:00, building up to the highly anticipated murder mystery activity at 22:30.
A dinner service was provided at 22:00 to ensure participants were refreshed for the night ahead. Upon the conclusion of the mystery case, the first coffee break was held at 00:00.
The official hackathon competition period began at 01:00. To maintain energy and focus throughout the night, a second coffee break was provided at 03:00, followed by a breakfast service at 08:00.
The event concluded at 10:00 with the awards ceremony, where the top three teams from INSAT with the highest interim scores were recognized. A total prize pool of 700 TND was distributed to the winning teams.
The event successfully provided a platform for intense skill development in competitive programming, logical reasoning, and collaborative problem-solving under pressure. The unique murder mystery theme effectively fostered strong team dynamics and camaraderie among participants. The competition heightened engagement with our student branch, strengthened our community, and celebrated technical excellence by recognizing our top-performing teams. Overall, the event served as a valuable and memorable practical learning experience for all involved.
