Uttam Kumar is a seasoned retail‐technology leader currently serving as Engineering Manager at American Eagle Outfitters Inc. (AEO). He has extensive experience delivering transformative Point-of-Sale (POS), order-management and inventory-systems solutions across global retail markets. In his role, Uttam guides cross-functional, agile engineering teams to modernize store-floor technology, drive cloud and API integrations, and align technical strategy closely with business outcomes to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Prior to his time at AEO, he worked with major retailers and technology consultancies across the U.S., Middle East and Asia, gaining deep domain expertise in retail operations and systems such as Oracle Retail and JumpMind. A strong advocate for data-driven innovation and team mentorship, Uttam also holds certifications and participates in industry forums, reinforcing his reputation as a thought-leader in retail engineering.
