The PES Poster Event 2025, will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM at the SIT Punggol, located at

1 Punggol Coast Road, Block W1, Level 3, Singapore 828608. This event is organized by the IEEE Power & Energy Society Singapore Chapter, in collaboration with the SIT IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter.

The event aims to bring together leading figures from both academia and industry to share insights on the latest trends in power and energy innovation. The event will feature:

  • Student Poster Session
  • Industry Talk
  • Best Poster Awards Announcement

Event Highlights:

Talk on becoming a Professional Engineer (PE)

Er. Shawn Chew, a Professional Engineer and Head, Technical Support at SP Group. He was from the inaugural batch of EPE graduate and the first graduant of SIT's MEng Tech in EEE.
 
Beyond his technical expertise in electrical installation design, mobility, regulatory compliance and management, Shawn is also a dedicated mentor, guiding apprentices and engineers to grow in both skill and confidence.
 
During SIT graduation ceremony in 2019, Shawn was mentioned by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong in his speech as a graduands who believe in Applied Learning.
