IEEEXtreme 19.0 – PSUT CS Participation
IEEE Computer Society PSUT Student Branch
In Collaboration with ACM Club
Event Date: 25 October 2025
Following the successful MiniXtreme training event, the IEEE Computer Society (CS) at PSUT supported students during the global IEEEXtreme 19.0 competition a 24-hour international programming challenge where teams from around the world solve complex algorithmic problems under strict time pressure.
To facilitate the participation of PSUT teams, the IEEE Computer Society and ACM Club provided dedicated labs and workspaces on campus, ensuring that all students had access to a stable environment, reliable internet, and technical support throughout the entire 24 hour competition. Volunteers from CS remained on site to offer logistical assistance and help maintain smooth operations during the event.
The competition was honored by a visit from Dr. Mousa Al-Akhras, Chair of the IEEE Jordan Section, who encouraged the students and recognized their efforts and commitment.
This year, 32 teams from PSUT participated an outstanding achievement that reflects the strong interest in competitive programming at the university. The teamwork, dedication, and perseverance shown by the participants reinforced PSUT’s reputation and presence in this global competition.
