The IEEE WIE Region 8 in cooperation with IEEE WIE Egypt Section are organizing a WIE Track on the the Margin of the 2026 IEEE 23rd Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference, New Cairo, Egypt on 2-4 February 2026, which is one of the flagship conferences of IEEE Region.

The WIE Activity will include Keynote Speeches, Panel Discussions, WIE Booth/Poster Sessions, and big Workshop "“WIE Innovate: Ideathon Workshop”.

Keynote (15 minutes, R8 WIE & WIE Egypt Section Chairs): "Advancing Women in STEM: Initiatives and Outcomes from Women in Engineering (WIE)"
-WIE Booth/Poster
-Panel Session "Leading with Impact : Women from Industry and Academia in Smart and Sustainable Technologies" - including Diversity of expert speakers, Women Leaders and OUs industry figures.
“WIE Innovate: Ideathon Workshop”
Illustrations, Discussions and Workshops will include elaboration highlighting:

1.      How is smart industry transforming sustainability practices?

2. Emerging technologies are most impactful in your field?

3.      How do you measure the success of sustainable solutions in industry?

4.      What technical challenges have you faced as a woman in engineering?
