MILAGRO 2K25 is a premier National Level Symposium organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS), IEEE Systems Council, IEEE Transportation & Electrification Council (TEC), and IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group. Get ready for a power-packed day filled with inspiration, innovation, interaction—and a whole lot of fun!
This symposium aims to bring together young minds, budding innovators, tech enthusiasts, and creative thinkers from various institutions to showcase their talent, compete, collaborate, and experience the spirit of engineering excellence.
MILAGRO 2K25 features an exciting blend of Technical and Non-Technical events designed to engage participants across multiple domains. Whether you love circuits, coding, creativity, or competition, there is something exciting for everyone!

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with IEEE PELS Society, IEEE Systems Council, IEEE TEC, and the IEEE WIE Affinity Group, organized MILAGRO 2K25 – National Level Technical Symposium on 27th November 2025. The event began with a vibrant welcome dance followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the start of a day dedicated to knowledge and innovation.
Dr. S. Sujatha, Convener and HOD of EEE, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of national-level symposiums in enhancing students’ technical skills, research involvement, and leadership abilities. Principal Dr. B. Shadaksharappa delivered the presidential address, appreciating the organizing team and encouraging students to utilize such platforms for holistic development and industry readiness. 

Prof. Dhamarai Selvi K. V. introduced the Chief Guest, Sri A. G. Vishal Anand, Director of Engineering at Bloom Energy and IEEE IES Chair, outlining his accomplishments and contributions to advanced energy systems. Prof. Lakshmi K. introduced the Guest of Honor, Dr. Prema V, IEEE PELS Chair and Associate Professor at BMSCE, highlighting her research achievements and dedication to IEEE and WIE initiatives.
In his special address, Sri Vishal Anand motivated students by emphasizing continuous learning, hands-on experience, and the global benefits of IEEE membership. Dr. Prema V, in her address, elaborated on the opportunities offered through IEEE PELS, Systems Council, and WIE, encouraging students—especially women—to engage actively in IEEE programs for academic and professional growth.
The event concluded with a sincere Vote of Thanks by Prof. G. Vinutha, acknowledging the dignitaries, faculty coordinators, student volunteers, and participants for their contributions to the success of MILAGRO 2K25.

Dr. PREMA V of B. M. S. College of Engineering

 

Biography:

Dr. Prema V. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru. She holds a PhD degree and began her academic career in 2005. Her work focuses on fields like renewable energy, microgrids, forecasting, and power electronics. She has also authored and co-authored four books and more than 60 publications in reputed journals and conferences.
 
She has a strong association with the IEEE. She has served as a faculty advisor for the IEEE PES-RVCE chapter, faculty advisor for the IEEE PELS-BMSCE chapter, execom member of IEEE IES Bangalore chapter and as both Treasurer and Vice-Chair of the IEEE PELS Bangalore chapter. She is currently the Chair of the IEEE Power Electronics Society Bangalore chapter and vice chair of Industrial Electronics Society Bangalore chapter. Her contributions to the society have been recognized with the Outstanding Ex-Officio Award in 2022 and the Best Faculty Award in 2024.

Mr. Vishal Anand of Bloom Energy

 

Biography:

Vishal Anand is an experienced engineering leader with over 13 years at Bloom Energy, currently serving as the Director of Engineering in Bengaluru. He has a strong background in power electronics, embedded systems, and engineering design, with prior roles at Delta Energy Systems, APC-MGE, Tata Motors, and Cisco. With solid academic credentials from IISc Bengaluru and PSG College of Technology, he brings deep technical expertise and industry insight to advanced energy systems development.
