On behalf of the IEEE Photonics Society Sweden Chapter Board, I am delighted to invite you to a Celebration of the Nobel Prize in Physics 2024 with “fika” sponsored by the IEEE Photonics Society (PS) Sweden Chapter. This is a hybrid event co-organized with RISE.

This year’s prize recognizes experiments that demonstrate how quantum tunnelling can be observed on a macroscopic scale based on a centimeter-wide superconducting circuit containing a Josephson junction. The Nobel laureates are John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret, and John M. Martinis [for more info: Nobel Prize in Physics 2025].

This event is a part of IEEE sponsored activities celebrating the UNESCO International Year of Quantum Science & Technology (IYQ) [for more info: IYQ]
