Worlds in the Making: Crafting the Metaverse Future
Abstract:
The emergence of the Metaverse marks a new paradigm in the evolution of connected intelligence. Enabled by 6G, artificial intelligence, and immersive technologies, it represents a persistent, shared virtual environment where physical, digital, and augmented realities converge. This talk explores how the Metaverse will reshape industry, education, and civic engagement through real-world deployments such as Seoul’s smart city digital twin and BMW’s virtual factory simulations. It highlights the role of 6G networks in enabling ultra-low latency, large-scale connectivity, and real-time data synchronization essential for these environments. Beyond technology, the session addresses key challenges in interoperability, data ethics, and inclusivity, emphasizing the need for transparent governance and equitable access. Attendees will gain a comprehensive view of how the Metaverse, combined with intelligent infrastructure and ethical design, can transform global collaboration, and create sustainable digital societies.
