[Legacy Report] Wideband Analog Predistortion Linearization For High Power Amplifiers

It is now possible to achieve wideband (> 1 GHz) linearization of microwave and millimeter-wave high power amplifiers using predistortion linearization. Multi-octave bandwidth linearization has been achieved at frequencies from HF through Ka-band with both solid state and vacuum technology HPAs. The trades between analog and digital linearization, and the use of a single predistortion linearizer versus multi-band linearizers will be considered. The correction of both inter-modulation and harmonic distortion will also be covered.
