Biography:
Dr. Calvin Nobles serves as the Portfolio Vice President and Dean of the School of Cybersecurity and Information Technology at UMGC, bringing more than three decades of distinguished leadership across cybersecurity, the financial sector, academia, and military service. A retired U.S. Navy Commander, he has held prestigious fellowships at Harvard and the New America Think Tank, contributing nationally recognized research in human factors engineering for cybersecurity. Dr. Nobles has led transformative academic initiatives, elevating cybersecurity programs to national prominence and expanding opportunities for students. He continues to shape the future of the field through extensive board and council service, supported by his exceptional multidisciplinary background and four doctoral degrees.
