Biography:
Dr. Purna Chandra Mishra is a distinguished academic leader and researcher, currently serving as Dean of the IPR Center at KIIT Deemed to be University (KIIT-DU), Bhubaneswar, and Professor & Dean (Research) at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Kaveri Campus (Campus #08). With a career dedicated to advancing mechanical engineering education and research, he has played a pivotal role in shaping KIIT’s academic and innovation ecosystem.
Dr. Mishra’s scholarly contributions span manufacturing processes, machining optimization, and advanced materials engineering. His research has been published in reputed international journals, covering topics such as tool performance, hard turning of steels, spray impingement cooling, and predictive modeling of machining parameters. He has guided numerous students and research scholars, fostering a culture of inquiry and innovation.
As Dean (Research), he has been instrumental in strengthening KIIT’s research output, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, and promoting intellectual property rights through the IPR Center. His leadership emphasizes academic excellence, industrial relevance, and innovation-driven growth, aligning with KIIT’s vision of global impact.
