IEEE Egypt SIGHT Annual Meeting (ESAM)
ESAM is an opportunity for the current 5 SIGHT Student Branch Groups (AAST Cairo , Cairo Uni., EUI, Pharos, and E-JUST) to meet and share their plans and get guidance from the IEEE Egypt Section SIGHT Group through talks and workshops.
Also, the student branches and student branch chapters are invited to participate, so they could find a common ground to generate ideas for SIGHT projects.
Besides, this would be a great chance for the OUs which would like to establish SIGHT group to learn about SIGHT and meet the SIGHT volunteers and leaders.

Biography:
Mohamed Naeem (IEEE Graduate Member) earned a B.Sc. in communication engineering from Zagazig University in 2006 and completed advanced training in 2007 through the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. He worked as a rig electrician in the oil field (2007-2008) before joining the Computer Networks Center at AASTMT from 2008 to 2024. He received his M.Sc. in communication engineering from AASTMT in 2019 and has been pursuing a PhD there since 2022. Since 2021, he has been a part-time instructor at AASTMT-Cairo for Huawei, with 15 years of networking teaching experience. He founded the IEEE AAST CSB SIGHT group, working with colleagues to develop sustainable solutions and volunteer for rural connectivity. His research interests include wireless communications, sustainability, network design, smart cities, and agriculture. He serves on the scientific program committees for IEEE and Springer and reviews for Springer’s Journal of Engineering and the King Saud Journal. He's a member of IEEE Communication Society, CSTF, and ISOC since 2022, 2022, and 2021 respectively.

IEEE Smart Village - Empowerment through Enterprise
The IEEE Smart Village is a humaintarian board community that provide more collaboration and support for solving a society problem along with the coordination between community members, organizations, and buisness to guarntee a sustainable solution that achieve one or multiple UN SDGs.
Biography:
Ron Bose is the Treasurer of IEEE Smart Village, a Life Senior Member of IEEE and an active member of IEEE Communications Society. Earlier in his career, he served on the Communications Society Board of Governors and as a technical editor of IEEE Communications Magazine. He retired from his position as Professor in the School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2024, after 11 years of teaching. Before that, he worked for 30 years in senior executive roles in the telecommunications and management consulting industries, including roles at AT&T, Siemens, Fujitsu, and Arthur Andersen. He obtained his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the ndian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, his master’s from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. He and his wife, Sharmila, live in Plano, Texas, USA.

The Internet Society (ISOC) is another organization that collaborate with IEEE with connect the unconnected domain to provide solution for connecting rural areas, and provide better connectivity for the internet. Moreover, the organizatin provide more community funding concerning energy, educating others about the internet, and guarntees a research.
Biography:
Nermin EL Saadany is an accomplished international professional with over 32 years of experience in government, leadership, political economy, research, and the Internet industry. Her career emphasizes ICT sector development, international outreach, and multilateral negotiations with bodies like the UN and EU. She’s known for leading teams and fostering collaboration within the global business community. Currently, she is the Regional Vice President for MENA at the Internet Society (ISOC), overseeing strategy and regional policies, and advising governments on digital issues such as Internet infrastructure, security, and bridging the digital gap. Formerly, she held senior roles including undersecretary at Egypt's Ministry of Communications, where she led policy dialogues, represented Egypt internationally, and managed development projects. Her service includes establishing committees for events such as the Internet Governance Forum and serving in roles at the ITU, backed by a master’s in economics from The American University in Cairo.
