Microwave circuits are electronic circuits that operate at high frequencies (300 MHz to 300 GHz) and are essential in technologies like radar, satellite communication, and 5G. Unlike low-frequency circuits, they use distributed elements like microstrip lines instead of traditional components due to wave behaviour. Key components include amplifiers, mixers, filters, and antennas. EM CAD tools like ADS, HFSS/CST are used to analyze the designed microwave circuits using simulated S-parameters and Smith charts. These circuits enable high-speed communication but require careful handling of signal loss, impedance matching, and thermal effects. The main objective of this workshop is to create awareness and provide fundamentals on basic microwave circuits. The following topics are covered in this workshop.
