Distinguished Lecture Program: Analog and Mixed Signal Circuits and Systems for Emerging Applications

The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) Student Branch Chapters of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus, organized a Distinguished Lecture Program (DLP) titled "Analog and Mixed Signal Circuits and Systems for Emerging Applications" on 15th December 2025. Held from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the RHISC Lab (First Floor, Lab Block), the event featured distinguished speaker Dr. Bibhu Datta Sahoo, Professor at the University at Buffalo, SUNY and special guest Mr. Abhyuday U Pai, Assistant Dean at the same institution. The lecture provided 2nd and 3rd-year ECE and CCE students with a deep dive into foundational and advanced circuit design, covering critical topics such as signal integrity, noise analysis and power-efficient architectures. Dr. Sahoo emphasized the vital role of mixed-signal circuits in modern communication, biomedical electronics, and IoT devices, while also discussing emerging research trends and global industry demands. The session concluded with an interactive discussion regarding higher study opportunities and research methodologies, successfully enhancing the technical competence and international research perspective of all participants.
