Ќе ги прикажеме уникатните предизвици со кои се соочуваат модерните складишта на податоци и нивните решенија. На крај, ќе дадеме осврт на моменталните трендови во областа на процесирање на големи податоци.

In this presentation, we will talk about the architecture and the way SQL queries are processed in Amazon Redshift. We will present the unique challenges faced by modern data warehouses and their solutions. Finally, we will provide an overview of current trends in the field of big data processing.

Biography:

Мартин Миленкоски е софтверски инженер во Amazon Web Services, каде што работи на развојот на сервисот за бази на податоци Amazon Redshift, со фокус на процесирање и оптимизација на SQL барања. Тој исто така работи на интеграција на Redshift со open-source формати како Apache Parquet и Apache Iceberg. Претходно има работено во Facebook и Swisscom.

Мартин има дипломирано на ФИНКИ во Скопје и е магистер по компјутерски науки од EPFL во Лозана. Добитник е на наградата „Инженерски прстен“.

Martin Milenkoski is a software engineer at Amazon Web Services, where he works on the development of the Amazon Redshift database service, with a focus on SQL query processing and optimization. He also works on integrating Redshift with open-source formats such as Apache Parquet and Apache Iceberg. Previously, he has worked at Facebook and Swisscom.

Martin earned his bachelor’s degree from FINKI in Skopje and holds a master’s degree in computer science from EPFL in Lausanne. He is a recipient of the “Engineering Ring” award.
